Science & Art Exhibition: The Shape of Ideas

For two consecutive years, I served as a lead organizer and curator of our school’s Science & Art Exhibition, bringing together scientific inquiry and artistic expression. I led exhibition planning, publicity, and installation, while shaping a space where ideas from biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and engineering could be translated into visual and creative forms. The exhibition became an exploration of how art can give scientific ideas new forms—and how creativity can open new ways of seeing science.

Walking Through History

I designed cultural walking routes through Shanghai’s historic residences, researching their stories and sharing them through Xiaohongshu guides. More than turning heritage into online content, I hoped to encourage people to step away from the screen, enter these spaces, and experience history where it actually happened.

China Bird Collision Citizen Science Survey Project

Through field surveys of bird–window collisions, I began to notice how easily the built environment can become invisible barriers to wildlife. What first seemed like isolated incidents revealed a larger tension between urban development and the lives that share these spaces with us. This experience taught me that environmental protection begins with paying attention—and that small changes in how we design and inhabit our cities can make them safer for more than just people.

Silk Road Photography

Documented Silk Road heritage, folk arts, and community life in Gansu, exploring how tradition lives within landscapes, movement, and everyday life. My portfolio was submitted to UNESCO as a visual narrative of living traditions.

 — Heart Set Free

A rider surges across the open landscape on horseback, captured in a fleeting moment of speed and freedom. Against the vastness of the Silk Road, the image evokes a sense of longing, movement, and an enduring connection between people, horses, and the land.
